Today's card i made for my delivery girl. She's amazing. Always chirpy, happy, full of life. She's such a pleasure to see at my front door.
She brings such sunshine when she knocks on my door, i wanted to bring some sunshine to her. And i did that, of course, in a card.
Now here's the funny thing. I know her name, but i have no idea how to spell it. Is it Kirra-Lee? Is it Kyra-Lee? Cirra-Leigh? Oh my gosh, i have no idea. Why couldn't she have a generic name like me, Mel. ahahaha.
I know, i will write it to, Gorgeous Lady! I promise i will ask her how to spell it the next time i see her.
Now onto some measurements for you.
Card Base: 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored at 4 1/8"If you use Centimetres, your card base will be:14.9cm x 21cm. Scored in half.
The Basic Black layers are:
3 7/8" x 5 5/8" Or 9.8cm x 14.2cm.
The Whisper White Layers are:
3 5/8" x 5 3/8" Or 9.3cm x 13.7cm.
The layers for the image of the delivery man are actually from scraps.
More details about the card.I have used our 2" Circle punch to punch out a template. I used that template to colour in a sun using both Light & Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.
I drew some lines around the sun for it's rays.
I have a shocking free hand, i admit it, but at least i tried, lol.
I went over the sun with Wink Of Stella to give it some sparkle.
I have used Stampin' Blends to colour everything with,
These are the colours i used.
Crumb Cake. Soft Suede. Daffodil Delight. Ivory. Soft Sea Foam. Lovely Lipstick. Pineapple Punch. Smoky Slate & Mango Melody.
I also used Basic Black Marker for the mans hair and moustache.
I have sponged around the outside of the Whisper White piece with some Daffodil Delight ink.
I embossed the sentiment in White Emboss Powder. I ADORE white sentiments on black card stock, they are so striking.
The stamp set i used, You Always Deliver, is a great set. There is a lot you can do with it. You can mask things to make a scene. Plus it has awesome sentiments. Ones for friends, work mates, and even better customers. There is a sentiment that says, Your Order Is Here! Thank You For Your Order. Just perfect for us business people. AND it's a fab price. Only $28 Au.
