Calypso Coral Embossed Celebration Card.

 Hello Beautifuls,

I hope you're all doing great and being creative little cookies.
Do you have particular colours that you don't gravitate to? I know for me, Oranges are probably the least used colour at my desk.
However, with Stampin' Up!s new colours that were added to our families earlier this year i do have to say, my dislike of oranges might just change. I'm really liking Mango Melody, it's a great orange in my opinion.

The reason i mention all of this is because we had a colour of the week last week and the chosen colour was Calypso Coral. Oh noooo! haha. A new colour starts today or tomorrow, and here i am making this card at the last moment. I do it so much, lol. But i'm really happy with how pretty it came out. Nice strong colour base, with only a teeny bit of white on the sentiment. Then we have soft pretty flowers embossed, a  bit of vellum and some ribbon. All adding up to a pretty little card. And i did in Calypso Coral! I challenged myself with an orange hue and i'm pleased with the outcome.
It's great to challenge yourself, even if it is with a colour you don't normally use, or use at all, like me.

The inside i ran a scrap piece of Calypso Coral at the bottom, and stamped some flowers from Vibrant Vases stamp set. The sentiment also comes from Vibrant Vases.
For the front of the card, i ran one of the Embossing folders from the Petal Pairs embossing folders. I put it through at the top, and the bottom of my Calypso Coral piece of Cardstock. this left a nice, flat surface for me to lay some vellum into, then some ribbon, and finally my heat embossed sentiment.

The card base is an A4 cut at 5 7/8", that's an A4 directly in half when laying horizontal on your cutting board. It's scored in half at 4 1/8".

The embossed layer is 5 7/8" x 4 1/8", so exactly the same size of the card front.
Once embossed you can lay it on top of the card base. Finishing it off with the vellum, ribbon and your embossed sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I love hearing from you, so feel free to leave a comment, or follow my social medias to keep up to date with what i'm doing creatively.
