Monochromatic Cards. Inksomniacs Blog Hop March 2018

 Hello friends,

Welcome to the Inksomniacs march blog hop. If you've been hopping you would have came from Jo Hoopers blog. I hope you have been enjoying what everyone has been creating. Our theme for this blog hop was Monochromatic.

Monochromatic was something i was yet to try so my first thought was Yikes! lol. When i think of monochromatic i always think of black and white, i don't know why, i just do. But low and behold, it isn't! So i went far from black and white and went with colour.
On page 158 of our 2017-2018 annual catalogue there is a little note card in Peekaboo Peach, it has some tone on tone stamping on the banner of it. Well that's where i got my idea from. I knew i wanted to do tone on tone with the gorgeous flower stamp from Wood Words but couldnt get any further. So i took a break from it, and started on a chopping frenzy. I cut a whole pack of Dsp and made cards from them. While i was on this frenzy i noticed my Color Theory has some ombre looking paper. Well hello match made in heaven! I knew the paper and tone on tone stamping is what i wanted to do.
So i sat and put together 3 cards from one single 6" x 6" Dsp piece. I got one normal sized card, one narrow note card & one mini note card from it. Awesome!
Why stop at just the one colour, am i right? So i did them in the 4 colours they come in. Berry Burst, Old Olive, Dapper Denim & Crushed Curry. And i LOVE them. I hope you do too.

Here i have stamped the flower image onto the Colour Theory DSP. It makes such pretty paper doesn't it?

Now let's look at the sets of cards. I have added little dots of white into the centre of some flowers using our Stampin Chalk Marker. I have embossed the sentiment on the large card and narrow note card using White Emboss Powder. Don't forget to use your emboss buddy on it before you stamp. Ask me why i'm passing this reminder on! lol

Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you've enjoyed everyone's creations. Next up is Nerida Carter, hmm i wonder what lovely creation Nerida has for us today. Hop on over by clicking the next button and have a look.
