Window Shopping Emboss Resist Technique.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well. Thank you for stopping in today.
Today i did my first card using the emboss resist technique. Have you tried that technique yet? Boy is it great. Such a lovely outcome with this technique. And it's not hard, whoo hoo!

If you are not familiar with this technique, let me run you through it.

Wipe over your card stock with your embossing buddy. This is very important and quite often forgotten, which is easy to do. I have done it plenty of times.

Once you have wiped over your piece, stamp your image in versamark, pour emboss powder of stamped image. Give a little tap on the backside so any extra powder thats just hanging around can fall off. Heat the powder with a heat gun. Now you are ready to colour. You can use an aqua painter and ink to do a watercolour wash, or like i have done here in mine, use a sponge and ink and sponge the colours on.
The measurements for this card are:

Base: 5 3/4" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"
Layer for top, and inside the card: 5 1/4" x 3 5/8"
Sentiment Piece: 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Supplies:
Inks: Versamark. Peekaboo Peach & Flirty Flamingo.

Others:
Window Shopping Stamp Set.
Bold Butterfly Framelits.
White Emboss Powder.
Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

  1. Love the new blog format! It's very "you", a great look and feel to it. What a fun project you've come up with today. I really like how you've offered plenty of hints and tips, especially the embossing buddy reminder. How many times have I forgotten to do that! Keep these creations coming.

    1. Hi Johanna,

Thank you so much. I know, i love the new format too, so much cleaner and matchy matchy which i love! We are still working on some stuff but it all takes time. Daniel is working on making our own supply list carousel so dont have to pay for one. Hopefully that will come soon :-) Xoxox
